Brief
How to read this.
A short orientation. What each section holds, what is out of scope, and the rules it keeps. Two minutes, then go.
What's here
4 sections
- Dispatch
- Irregular long-form notes. What the German press said, what the terrace did, what the boards turned down. No previews, no rumours.
- Seasons
- One page per season since 1910. Final position, the line of numbers, the cup round. Added once a season is done, not while it is happening.
- Vernacular
- The words, chants, banners, and abbreviations you will meet. Treated as insider speech, not as 101.
- Imprint
- The why and the voice. Why this exists, who it is for, what it answers to.
What's not
Other places do this well
The fanzine is a shelf, not a feed. For any of these, Fotmob, kicker, and r/fcstpauli will serve you faster.
- Live scores
- Transfer rumours
- Matchday previews
- Player ratings
- Tactical pull-quotes from podcasts
House rules
4 entries
- 01
Anonymous where it matters
No house bylines. The fanzine voice is collective. Personal essays land in Dispatch under their own kicker.
- 02
Archive over feed
No infinite scroll. No notification. The site is a shelf you walk back to, not a stream you keep up with.
- 03
Off-season is off
September to May. When the club rests, so does the fanzine.
- 04
Signal over noise
A monthly issue. No commercial goal, no "join 10,000 readers", no "buy us beer".
End of brief. Open Dispatch.
