  1. 1910–1924

    Era 01 of 09

    Inside the Turnverein

    Football lives as a section of Hamburg-St. Pauli TV. No independent club yet, but the colours, the corner, and the membership model start here.

  2. 1924–1947

    Era 02 of 09

    Independent club, regional football

    The football section splits from the gymnastics parent. Pre-war Gauliga and the years that follow under regional pyramids.

  3. 1947–1963

    Era 03 of 09

    Oberliga Nord

    Postwar regional top tier. Hamburg derbies land hard. The national title stays out of reach.

  4. 1963–1974

    Era 04 of 09

    Regionalliga Nord

    Bundesliga forms in 1963 without FCSP. The club drops to the new second tier and stays.

  5. 1974–1988

    Era 05 of 09

    2. Bundesliga, the long second tier

    2.BL is created. FCSP plays mostly here, with one Bundesliga promotion and one season up (1977–78).

  6. 1988–2002

    Era 06 of 09

    First Bundesliga decade

    Bundesliga arrivals and relegations. The Jolly Rouge becomes the Millerntor. The Retter campaign saves the club at the close.

  7. 2002–2010

    Era 07 of 09

    Wilderness

    Through 2.BL and a Regionalliga drop. The base rebuilds the club from the bottom up, member by member.

  8. 2010–2024

    Era 08 of 09

    Second-tier home

    One Bundesliga year (2010–11) bookended by long stretches in 2.BL. The Hürzeler promotion arrives at the close.

  9. 2024–2026

    Era 09 of 09

    Bundesliga, again

    Promoted as champions in 2024 under Hürzeler, back after thirteen years. Blessin inherits the top flight. Two seasons up, then relegated in 2026.

When a season lands

Once a year

New seasons are added in June, after the last match has been played and the table has settled. No live updates, no in-season ticker, no provisional rows. A season is added once, frozen, and left alone.

Each row is one season: final position, record, goals, points, DFB-Pokal round, source note. Where a record is missing, the row says missing.
